How can you help?

Why not join our band of merry volunteers?  The Pequannock Township Historical Society needs public support... your support. We need to raise awareness in Pequannock, and throughout the area, for the idea of preserving the Martin Berry House as an invaluable learning resource and community center.

The Township Council is favorably disposed to purchasing the House... but they need us to show them that 1) there is a group of volunteers dedicated to caring for the home, and 2) the home can be supported without the use of tax money.

We've accomplished the first part by turning the Friends of Martin Berry House into the Pequannock Township Historical Society.  Now, we need to work on the next -- but we need your help.

Committees are forming

If you'd like to see the Martin Berry House preserved, please join us!  We're in the process of forming committees for a number of areas:

  • Fund raising
  • Grounds-keeping
  • Gardening
  • Publicity
  • Routine maintenance
  • ...and several more

When & where do we meet?

The Pequannock Township Historical Society currently meets twice per month: the first Tuesday, and the third Wednesday, at the American Legion Hall, 700 Newark-Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains (next to the former Gilly's).  See (and link to) our meeting & event calendar for upcoming dates.

Want more information?  Drop us a line -- we'd love to chat!   We also invite you to visit, and 'like', our Facebook page, where you'll find more information and lots of photos.
